Juneau's Katie Hunley Reaches Out to Students

Juneau Construction Company now has a Trustee on the NAWIC Atlanta Scholarship Foundation Board.

Juneau’s Katie Hunley, Senior Construction Engineer, is helping to lead the Foundation as it distributes four scholarships to women seeking construction-related education.

Two scholarships will go to women pursuing trade school programs and/or associate degrees, one scholarship is awarded to a woman pursuing an undergraduate degree, and one scholarship is awarded to a woman pursuing a graduate degree.

“When I was approached by the Board of Trustees I decided that it was only fitting that I try to give back to the organization and to other women interested in construction, as I was a recipient when I was in college of one of these scholarships and really appreciated receiving it,” Ms. Hunley said. “I hope this foundation and board will help young women who are interested in construction obtain the needed financial resources to pursue their education. If we are able help in some small way to make the path easier, then we will have achieved a great thing for our industry.”
