Phase III of Southern Polytechnic State University’s housing program continues the transformation of SPSU by bringing full-time campus student life to the west side of SPSU’s campus. The program consists of residence halls in two buildings totaling 600 new beds, a new 300 seat, 15,000 sf dining facility, and a new special interest housing cluster including 52,000 sf of housing space in 10 buildings, a community center, and 4 acres of hardscaped common area. The buildings all utilize split system heat pumps and individual electric water heaters.

Residence Halls (LEED Silver): The new residence halls are each 4-story wood and metal stud hybrid structures with wood floor/roof trusses. The lobby areas of both residence halls feature upscale tile flooring, decorative pendant lighting, and architectural millwork features.
