Hopper Hall - Valdosta State University


This project consisted of new construction of an 157,000sf, 513-bed, 191-unit housing facility on the Valdosta State University campus. Ground-floor features include (2) two-story entrance foyers, 24,500sf of community space, new mail distribution room for entire campus (2,500 boxes), SMART classroom and game room, 10,100sf dining area with courtyard patio, management offices, VSU newspaper and radio station space, and 2 professional staff apartments. Floors 2 through 4 house approximately 160 students per floor. Each floor includes 5 stairwells and 2 elevators, 6 multi-purpose rooms and 4 laundry rooms. The 2 bedroom/1 bathroom single occupancy room units are 407sf, and the 2 bedroom /1 bathroom double occupancy units are 573sf. RA units are 304sf 1 bedroom/1 bathroom. PSI apartments 1 bedroom/1bathroom single occupancy are 772sf and the PS 2 bedroom/2 bathroom units double occupancy are 1168sf.
