Lowndes Hall - Valdosta State University


Lowndes Hall contains 197 beds in 104 units. This includes 93 double occupied Student Units (186 beds), 6 single occupied Handicap Units (6 beds) and 4 single occupied RA Units (4 beds) and 1 two bedroom - two bathroom Professional Staff Apartment (1 bed). The standard unit is 160 net square feet. Patterson Hall contains 294 beds in 155 units. This includes 139 double occupied Student Units (278 beds), 8 single occupied Handicap Units (8 beds), 7 single occupied RA Units (7 beds) and 1 two bedroom - two bathroom Professional Staff Apartment (1 bed). The standard unit is 166 unit square feet. Community bathrooms will be used by residents in all units, with the exception of the PS Units. Lowndes Hall, the first dormitory to undergo renovations, was complete in August 2005. Patterson Hall began renovations in August 2005 and was completed February 2006, four months ahead of schedule.
