The new 43,000sf West Gwinnett Aquatic Center includes two indoor swimming pools, one 25 yard x 25 meter competition pool, and one 25 yard x 30 foot instructional pool. The second
floor of the facility includes bleachers for competition spectators. Outside, is a new free-form leisure pool, which includes two water flume rides, a lazy river and numerous
water play features. A separate 1,000sf mechanical building, 1,500sf restroom building and two parking lots were constructed to service the new leisure pool.
The aquatic facility is the center of the new 22.5 acre West Gwinnett Park. In addition to the new aquatic center and leisure pool, this project includes the construction of two
new multipurpose sports fields, an asphalt walking track, grading work for a third sports field and grading work for two future tennis courts.
